I know that a lot of bad things happened but I think about the free love, and all...anyways. I just want to say that I`m your biggest fan. I don't think I realized how much the Mamas and the Papas meant to me until I read about John Phillip's wake this morning in the 'Times. My parents used to play their music, along with Joan Baez and Woody Guthrie, non-stop through my childhood. Their counterculture ethic lived in me, and I am sorry to say I do not see it there now. Hi my names Frany and I'm 15 and I love you people.....I am in love with the 60's and 70's music and can't get enough of The Mamas and The Papas. I love the lyrics your music has and would have to say that this band is amazing! Denny Doherty is a hunk! Not to mention that lush voice of his! John Phillips you can write a song like no other! Michelle Gilliam Phillips your devotion to one the most famouse songs of this band has ever come up with California Dreamin'! And what can i say about Cass Elliot? Your an amazing woman! But the beautiful voices of this band is what makes The Mamas And The Papas the best! My love for this band will go on for ever! God Bless The Mamas And The Papas!!!!!! Peace!

I was listening to Creeque Alley... Great song... remember seeing them doing it on an Ed Sullivan program. Can't believe they can all say those many words in sync! However... hearing it on the computer, I noticed the balance of music in one ear, and singing in the other is kind of annoying. I guess this was made before headphones or something! Anyways, using the Sound Forge, I made a more balanced version. If anybody wants to check out this mp3 file, e-mail me, or find me using the napster.com program, under username goldsilverplatinum.
